After months of preparation, planning and practice, students are now presenting their dishes, one of which will be selected to be featured by Uber Eats partners, Primos Mexican Food & Cantinas and one with Cravory Cookies.
James Quijano, Marketing Director and former owner of several Primos eateries, has worked with the students to not only prepare a new menu item, but has taught them how to figure out costs, project prices and develop a marketing plan for their item. As an immigrant student, James also shared with the students on several previous visits to the class his personal journey, challenges, set backs and importance of education. His engagement, feedback and constructive suggestions were impressive and will be of value to the students as they hone skills and prepare for jobs.
