The Rotary Club of East Escondido sponsored Leilani and Natasha to participate in an international Model UN event hosted at the University of San Diego and Crowne Plaza in San Diego on April 7-8. Under the guidance of Ms. Pratt, Leilani and Natasha performed solid and poised speeches on behalf of Oman and engaged in caucus groups and negotiations.

The winning cookie from Baking and Pastry was a "White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake Cookie" and the winning burrito was called "Los Tres Amigos" and featured shrimp, chicken, adodaba, and a homemade guacamole. Both winning items will be featured on the UberEats app from April 23rd-April 30th.

OGHS will be on spring break during the week of March 26-30. Classes resume on Monday, April 2, which is a Collaboration Day Schedule. Take time to relax and refresh before the final weeks of the 2017-2018 school year.

Last Friday at lunch, students and teachers showed their stuff on the run way. A HUGE thank you to all the staff couples that participated and even came up with their own promposals!

Last weekend, more than 300 students from 45 different Southern California schools competed in the So Cal Journalism Education Association All-Stars competition. We submitted last year’s yearbook for the competition and we are proud to announce the 2017 Torch Yearbook took FIRST PLACE! We were the top ranked yearbook for the Southern California region!
